E-713.IxxA0 Analog Interfaces for E-713 Motion Controller
For Analog Input and Output Signals
- For modular E-713 Motion Controllers
- Maximum flexibility for high-precision motions
- High-resolution analog inputs and outputs
- Extremely fast thanks to high bandwidth
- Configurable via parameter setting
Integration of analog signals
Interface module with 4 high-resolution analog inputs and outputs each with high bandwidth.
Flexibly configurable using parameter settings
The user can configure each of the analog inputs and outputs for various purposes. Digital linearization of the inputs via fourth-order polynomials and filtering for reduced signal noise make possible applications requiring extremely high precision.
Control input, sensor input, or motor stop
If an analog input is configured as a control input, the voltage applied is used to command the axes of the E-713 Motion Controller. The configuration as external sensor input allows, e.g., the connection of optical power meters for use in Fast Alignment routines. In addition, an analog input can be used to automatically switch off the servo mode in the event of a fault, causing the motor to stop.
Control output or monitor output
Additional external amplifiers can be integrated into the motion system via analog outputs configured as control output. Configuration as monitor output allows an axis position to be monitored using an analog output signal.
Modular design
The analog interface module is intended for use in the modular E-713 Motion Controller. The modular concept makes it possible to assemble E-713 Motion Controllers exactly according to customer requirements. An E-713 Motion Controller controls in a coordinated manner up to 16 axes with various drive types. This involves the use of state-of-the-art control and linearization algorithms. Optional interface modules support motion automation.

This applies to the analog input signal: |AIN+ - AIN-| ≤ 10 V in the range from -10.675 V to +10.675 V.
Connection examples for an analog input:
1) AIN- is connected to the GND potential. AIN+ may then vary in the range from -10.675 V to +10.675 V.
2) A signal in the range from -5 V to +5 V is connected to AIN+, whereas AIN- is connected to a corresponding inverted signal (+5 V to -5 V).
